Practical and real advice presented in a way that a young lady wants to read and absorb. What more could you ask for. Most important, my daughter loves them all and reads the books cover to cover.
Read it as a parent. It's approach will simplify some subjects that dumbfound you.
Being a dad, this book makes it easy to approach some subjects that are awkward for girls to hear from a dad. Some of this book is for younger girls but your older young ladies will pick out what they want to find out from the varied content.American Girl books are all well thought out, well written, and well presented.
I tend to complicate what I say, when my child doesn't want or need to hear all of my words. Plus, American girl books are designed to let a girl read on her own and be alone with her thoughts, so I just get in the way of that process.
In many cases, she reads them over and over. Worth every penny.
A perfect book for young ladies entering those those confusing years. Really hit on the points that young womanhood face. As a former teacher(30 years with this age group), I highly recommend to families that need a spring board to important discussions.
My 10 year daughter said she really like this book and read it over and over again.
These books are such great stocking stuffers or "I love you" presents for your tween or young adult. Written in easy to understand and relate to language, my girls really enjoy getting them.Anything we can do to stimulate reading as well as dialog about feelings is terrific. Many young girls do not know how to name the emotions they are feeling. Thanks and you will enjoy the read.Judy H. Wright aka Auntie Artichoke, family relationship author and keynote speaker[.].
This book arrived with a small tear on the front cover and a little worn and was rated very good condition. So I expected just a little better. I expected it to be a little worn because it was used but with no tears.
